Dead at UCSB
I am glad these UCSB shows are getting noticed. I was at all of them and they were pretty special. The band was relatively healthy, great new songs and

great atmosphere. The scene was still just getting bigger, but not too big and certainly was a whole lot of new fun for people just catching on. And the band and their whole scene certainly loved playing there. What I would give to go back.

A hefty, lovin' dose of Dead
I have to agree with many of the reviewers below, this show is terrific. Love the quality of the mix and the performance is no short of stellar as well.
...
Eyes and LLR are the runaway highlights for me. HCS was stellar, but I prefer the 1973-12-06 from Cleveland Public Hall. If you're a fan of this Here Comes Sunshine, the Cleveland show isn't one to mix. Thanks to all involved with keepin' the music alive!

More to love from '73
A five star experience from one of my favourite years for the Dead. Superb Playin' despite Donna's shrieking (Family in the next room asked "what is that
...
awful noise??" while I was listening). She definitely redeems herself on an absolutely gorgeous Row Jimmy. Really nice Eyes as well.

a little strained, (not in the 1980's struglin ways) but rather in a sweet youthful, 1969 sound. The Eyes and the Sunshine and Jimmy Row are clear winners this night as a result. wish I was there. wish you were here! What the hell
I've completely lost track of what(recent) version of this show I had or didn't have or isn't available anymore or what. I can say that this a very fine,
...
very long show, that has been excruciatingly well patched, Here Comes Sunshine in particular. The harmonies in Row Jimmy are actually pretty good, and I hate Row Jimmy. However, one of the most blistering GSET is again butchered by DJG. She outdoes herself on this one, and I should've made peace with it by now, but...what's the use? Don't be fooled by the song list for the 3rd set. This set has wings. Really! Back in the dark ages I had an audience tape of this one and always hoped for a SBD of at least the 3rd set. A big thank you to those involved. Surely one of the best shows from 1973. I prefer this one to Kezar. 5 stars.
